Trip Grades and Gear Requirement
Minimum Gear that should be carried on Club runs
- Tow Hooks Front and Rear.
- Spade.
- First Aid Kit.
- Nylon Rope / Strop.
- Roll Bar with Back Stays on Soft Tops.
- Fire Extinguisher.
You will need a 2.0kg (min size) Powder Fire Extinguisher and Spade on Forestry Runs.
Convoy Rules
- Maintain visual contact with the following vehicle.
- Do Not Dawdle, keep up with the vehicle in front but maintain an adequate stopping distance.
- Leave all gates as found. Where possible, the number 2 vehicle in the convoy is to stay with each opened gate and rejoin the convoy in front of the tail-end-charlie after closing the gate.
- Before crossing a hazard, make sure the vehicle in front has passed through the hazard before proceeding. After crossing a hazard, make room for following vehicles to exit the hazard in safety.
- The use of CB radios does not replace Convoy Rules.
- Have headlights on while moving.
